This series explores three insects found in the window of an old shop. We don’t usually think twice when dusting and cleaning out a windowsill of its insects despite the beauty—if we just look closely. I enjoyed taking these photos and hope this gives you a bit of extra curiosity.

To capture the full depth of focus on each photo, I took up to 15 shots from each angle, each focusing on a different layer of depth using a 100mm macro lens. The shots were then stitched together to form the full images.
